Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you use Los Fomos, we collect:

• Farcaster identity — your FID (Farcaster ID) and username, provided via Farcaster sign-in.
• Wallet address — your primary verified Ethereum address on Base, used to check NFT-based roles.
• Statuses — short text posts you submit, stored for 24 hours then expired.
• Place submissions — place names and links you submit to the community map.
• Usage events — daily active user events (FID + date only) for community analytics.

What we don't collect

• No email addresses (unless you signed in via magic link on the web).
• No device identifiers, browser fingerprints, or tracking cookies.
• No private keys or wallet credentials — we only read your public verified addresses.

How we use it

• To assign community roles based on your NFT holdings on Base chain.
• To display your status and profile within the Los Fomos community.
• To show community-submitted places to other members.
• To send frame notifications if you've enabled them in Warpcast.

Data sharing

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties for advertising. Your FID and wallet are read from the Farcaster protocol, which is public by design.

Data retention

Statuses expire after 24 hours. Place submissions remain until removed by an admin. You can request deletion of your account data by contacting us on Farcaster at @losfomos.
